JANUARY
THE GRANDE CASE TUESDAYS HARMONY NIGHTS – Well known as being the biggest tourist activities on the French Side of the island, The Grande Case Tuesdays Harmony Nights is not to be missed. The main street of Grande Case becomes pedestrian from 6pm to 10pm. It will come alive with the largest traditional market on the island, but also a variety of street entertainment, musical bands, local arts and craft exhibitions and carnival dancers. Not less than 60 exhibition booths, 40 restaurants, 20 shops, a dozen local artists involved in performance every Tuesday evening for a minimum period of three months.

HEINEKEN REGATTA
The Heineken Regatta is the oldest and the most famous regatta that has gathered every year for more than thirty years, during three days in March. Several hundred sailors on all categories of sailing vessels, from the lightest “Hobby Cat” to the most impressive “maxi” participate. Sometimes, a few old sailing ships add a nostalgic touch. Since its origin, the biggest names in sailing have come to race many unknown competitors on the Heineken Regatta, to share in the pleasure of fighting against the wind and the waves, as well as to maintain the high level and quality of sailing days. Perfectly organized, this high caliber event is rightly rattled “Serious Fun.” There is an unusual dimension added to the race which extends well past the surface of the water and the sporting aspect, as each evening, the crews and public gather to enjoy unforgettable concerts offering a variety of music.
SXM FESTIVAL
The SXM Festival brings DJs and electronic music talent from all over the world to entertain festival goers for an entire week. This festival takes place in different venues and offers a chance to come together and dance in a communal atmosphere.
APRIL / MAY
ST. MAARTEN CARNIVAL
Celebrate one of St.Maarten’s most anticipated celebration of vibrate costumes, local cuisine and local music. St. Maarten Carnival takes place every year during late April/Early May! It’s a spectacular event that you won’t want to miss.
SEPTEMBER
PATRIMONY DAY
Experience Patrimony Day. Each year, the third weekend of September is devoted to culture and to people wishing to discover historical monuments often closed to the public. Several excursions are organized for the public all over the island.
NOVEMBER
CONCORDIA CUP
Concordia Cup is a friendly annual competition in Mullet Bay between golfers on the French side and their friend on the Dutch side.
ST. MAARTEN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Enjoy St. Maarten’s Day Celebration. The island was discovered on this day by Christopher Columbus in 1493. It will be filled with official ceremonies and traditional entertainment such as music, cultural heritage and gastronomy.
DECEMBER
CARNIVAL ON THE BAY – Experience Carnival in December with The Yacht Club at Isle de Sol. Since the Carnival is celebrated at the end of our season, we want to welcome you back to St. Maarten with the heritage of Carnival. From the colorful costumes to the authentic music of the island, we bring the celebration to you!
